We have call centers located in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Grande Prairie.

We also have a presence in Lloydminster, Slave Lake, Whitecourt, Bonnyville, Peace River, Valleyview, Camrose, Wainwright, and Ft. McMurray!

The infancy of Select Communications began in Grande Prairie as Grande Prairie Answering Service in 1968. The present owners, Les and Sandi Bidewell then purchased it in 1979. The company had its beginnings at a time when the oil patch was booming in the Peace Country or Northern Alberta. Paging was a new service at this time, and quickly expanded. Our paging system offers local, Alberta wide coverage, and also nationwide coverage through a national partner in paging.

The telephone answering service grew from one office in Grande Prairie, to a second office in Edmonton. In 2002, the company expanded to Red Deer and Calgary and is now handling calls for more than 1000 companies. In addition to the Call Centres, the Select maintains service centres across Alberta: Peace River, Ft. McMurray, Slave Lake, Whitecourt, Lloydminster, Bonnyville, Wainwright, Valleyview and Fairview.

Select offers "state of the art" services with equipment that uses the latest in technology. In Edmonton we have a call center for order entry services where customers call a 1-800 number to place product orders. This system can also locate the closest dealer to the caller for customer service calls.

Select Communications, Inc. is a member of CAM-X, the Canadian Association of Message Exchanges and of ATSI, the Association of Telemessaging Service, International. We have been members of the associations since 1979. We believe that customer service and price competitiveness are the most important concerns that you have, and we strive to make our service the best. We adhere to a professional Code of Ethics.

Select communications, Inc. is a family operation and the owners, Les and Sandi Bidewell remain very "hands on" in their Edmonton office. Select has about 75 employees at present.
